Ingredients
Use this:
3/4 cup of large flake oats (like breakfast ones)
1/4 cup raw cashews (preferably soaked overnight or add hot water and cover for 1 hour)
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp coconut oil or other neutral oil
pinch of sea salt
4 cups of cold water (refrigerated)
Nut Milk Bag
Airtight container
Preparation
Do this:
In a blender add oats, raw cashews, maple syrup, coconut oil, sea salt and water.
Blend on high for only 30 seconds (I usually do 15 so as to not over blend).
Place milk into a milk bag over a large bowl to strain.
Squeeze milk bag slowly to get all the milk out.
Transfer strained oat milk into an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 7 days.
** Our pups LOVE having the left-over blended oats as a healthy treat. It could also be composted. I have this feeling it could be great as a soap or something so if you come up with ideas, send them my way!
